Chris Walker: Safaraz, what inspired you and Waheed to establish Global Careers Alliance?

Safaraz Ali:
Chris, Waheed is really the driving force behind the idea, he witnessed first-hand the enormous talent in Pakistan restricted by limited international opportunities deeply inspired him. I envisioned that together we create accessible, practical pathways that enable the skilled youth of Pakistan to realise their potential through meaningful careers overseas, leading to significant personal and community development.

Chris Walker:  Interesting, anything else you would like to add?

Safaraz Ali:  Waheed and I created Global Careers Alliance, a registered company in Pakistan and based in Punjab dedicated to providing targeted skills training and meaningful overseas employment pathways, particularly focusing on Saudi Arabia’s booming construction industry.

Chris Walker: Why did you both initially focus specifically on Saudi Arabia’s construction sector?

Safaraz Ali:
Chris, Saudi Arabia’s transformation under Vision 2030 presents an unprecedented employment opportunity—particularly in construction, where job growth is tremendous. Our workers’ proven adaptability, professional diligence, and specialised skillsets perfectly align with the kingdom’s evolving labour market requirements.

The construction sector is anticipated to create over one million jobs by 2025, necessitating a substantial influx of skilled workers. Pakistani workers, known for their resilience and strong work ethic, are well-positioned to fill this demand, especially in trades such as masonry, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work .
